Our May Day/Beltane Workshop:

We’ll start by learning about the folklore and history of the cross-quarter day of May Day/Beltane, then move into our workshop, led by Kate Gambini from Art of the Earth. You’ll be provided with all of the supplies and instruction needed to design and carve your block and print onto paper. We’ll end the afternoon with our sharing table tradition - this season’s theme is a seedling swap to celebrate the new growth we’ve been nurturing and witnessing since the Spring Equinox.

Save the Date!

The winter and summer solstices divide the year in half and the spring and autumn equinoxes divide those halves into quarters. Cross-quarter days mark the halfway point between each solstice and equinox. They have been traditionally observed and celebrated in a variety of cultural traditions, dating at least back to the Middle Ages.
