Our Winter Bucket List | Free PDF Download

From the moment Thanksgiving is over, it feels like the rest of the year barrels by like a runaway train. Christmas is only a week away, so we’ve already been doing some fun holiday activities but I was excited to brainstorm our winter bucket list together - because let’s be real - once the holidays are over it can sometimes feel like a long slog until Spring. This winter, I’m determined to make the most of the season! Just like for my Autumn Bucket List, the goal isn’t to stress ourselves out feeling like we have to do every single thing on this list. Update - we did about 2/3rds of the things on our fall bucket list and we had a blast doing them! I find having this list hung on our fridge is great to reference during the week when we have a couple hours free and I’m out of ideas and for planning our weekends.

Here’s what’s on our list so far - some we’ve already done because to me, winter (and the holidays!) start on December 1st!

  • Go to our town’s light up night

  • Bake cookies

  • Go sledding

  • Make ornaments (see our DIY Toddler Art Ornaments, here!)

  • Donate socks & diapers to the local family shelter

  • Build a snowman

  • Make a bird feeder

  • Cut out paper snowflakes (and decorate Sage’s room with them!)

  • Go the Hershey Park Christmas Candylane

  • Have a Christmas Movie Marathon

  • Take a winter nature walk

  • Make homemade play dough

  • Mail Christmas Cards

  • Play with snow inside (my sister in law did this with her boys last year and I thought it was so smart!)

  • Make gourmet hot cocoa

  • Finish renovating steps and upstairs hallway

  • Go to a concert (Date night!!)

  • Shovel the sidewalk for our neighbor

  • Visit a museum

  • Make oven-roasted chestnuts

  • Lay new flooring in the kitchen

  • Print Sage’s 1st Year Photobook (was on last season’s bucket list too! Oops)

  • Install beadboard wainscoting and paint my studio
